From 12 to 13 September 2023, in online format, UNDP and the Public Association “Kyrgyz Association of Women Judges” within the framework of the joint EU-UN initiative “Ray of Light” will conduct online training on the practical training course “PROVIDING GENDER-SENSITIVE AND ORIENTED TO PERSONS SURVIVED OF GENDER AND FAMILY VIOLENCE, The project was developed for the professional development of lawyers, justice officials, social and other services providing local services to the population, lawyers of the Legal Aid Service (LAS), civil servants, municipal officials participating in the “Solidarity Bus” campaign.

On August 21, 2023, in Bishkek, UNDP and the Public Association “Kyrgyz Association of Women Judges” met with representatives of the Legal Aid Service and development partners as part of a project to develop a robust and sustainable training system aimed at increasing gender sensitivity and skills of SJS lawyers and specialists of state bodies participating in the “Solidarity Bus” campaign to identify cases of gender-based and family violence.

On July 31, 2023, in Bishkek, UNDP and the Public Association “Kyrgyz Association of Women Judges” held a round table on the development of a training system within the framework of the joint EU-UN Beam of Light Initiative on increasing gender sensitivity and skills to identify family and gender-based violence among lawyers of the Legal Aid Service and specialists of state bodies involved in the “Solidarity Bus” campaign.
