UNDP “Strengthening Accountability in the Implementation of the Rule of Law in the Kyrgyz Republic”, Phase II A study of prosecutorial practices (supervision and prosecution) related to violence against women and GBV and reasons for low conviction rates in GBV cases, including early marriage and domestic violence, with detailed recommendations to address the gaps in the current situation of handling cases of GBV victims was implemented by the “Kyrgyz Association of Women Judges” NGO for 5 months from October 8, 2019 to March 8, 2020.

The European Union’s program “Supreme Law in the Kyrgyz Republic – 2nd phase” (ROLPRO- 2) to conduct trainings for lawyers and jurists on the topic: “Providing legal services on gender crimes” was implemented by the Public Association “Kyrgyz Association of Women Judges” (hereinafter – KAWJS) from August 19 to December 31, 2019 and was extended until January 31, 2020. This project was a continuation of one of the recommendations of the UNDP project “Prevention of Gender Equality against Women and Girls”.
